Vollco
International came about after Roger Voll, the product's
inventor, refused to pay $30.00 to $35.00 for a new set of "Lift
and Cut" replacement blades for his Norelco/Philishave shaver,
after they had lost their cutting edge.
He wasn't prepared to spend that kind of
money just because they went dull. This was the beginning of a
great Entrepreneur's story.
His
determination lead to the development of the first prototype
within 12 months and the results were amazing. He could now
sharpen his dull blades and put a new cutting edge on them
whenever he felt the need.
A private
company was formed, the product was tested by government and
private sector authorities, and the product hit the market and
the rest is history.
