Dear Jim,

Back in 2003 you sent me set of sharpeners and asked in exchange for my comments.

As my Philishave Shaver 8870 was new at the time, I did not use your product then. My friend with older model did though, and I forwarded his short "review" to you back then, and promised to give my comments later

when blades in my shaver become dull.

Well, though a bit late (2 years later to be precise), I keep my promise. Here is my short story:

After having bought Philishave 8870 upon suggestion of a friend, I discovered from the manual that supposed-to-be self-sharpening blades (so my friend told me) need replacement at least every 2 years! What a nasty surprise for (then) developing country's citizen to learn that every 2 years Philishave will force me to spend 20% of the shaver's selling price on new blades. Mildly speaking, it was a disappointment. In frustration, I started to investigate the matter in the internet and learned about Vollco products! This is it!

About 2 years after my shaver's buy I learned that Philishave did not lie: blades became dull indeed, and shaving started to irritate my skin more and more.

Well, I am glad to report that Vollco did not lie either! Having sharpened the blades with Vollco VSH-2 system (the whole procedure took less than 2 minutes time) skin irritation during shaving is history. It feels that the blades are AT LEAST as sharp as when brand new. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. It saves your money, time and nerves (I hate being robbed, and that's what Philishave was planning to do).

My initial thought was to purchase a new razor. After all replacement blades are expensive and they don't seem to last that long anyway. But before I did I thought I would try your sharpening heads. They are fantastic. Within 5 minutes of receiving the package in the mail I was having a close, smooth shave! If anyone is thinking of just throwing out your old razor, think again. And if you are considering replacement heads consider this. Just like the originals they will dull over time. This product is the 'real deal' and delivers on it's promise.

well it has been some time since i purchased your sharpeners and i feel the need to leave feedback. i have two philishave cool skin razor's and both sets of blades were dull. i was looking at nearly 100 dollars to replace the blades. i found vollco on the internet and decided to give it a try. after sharpening both sets of blades i was very satisfied. i saved alot of money and got to do business with a good company. thank you for your product.

I sharpened the Norelco shaver's heads according to the explicit instructions in your Web site. Shaving improved immediately (it did not pinch me any more).
However, during the following week the performance of the shaver gradually improved further, and I am perfectly satisfied with the results.
I gave the used Vollco sharpener to my son in law and he reports similar positive results. He is satisfied he does not need to buy new heads for his shaver.

Thank you for your great product!!!! It is a cost effective alternative to replacing old dull blades. Keep up the good work!!!!

So far I have sharpened 4 Norelco razors - 2 Quadra and 2 reflex. All were about to be retired as 2 of them were not worth using at all. Now, all are at least as good as when new so thanks for saving me the money for new razors or replacement heads from Norelco. Great idea and product!

Jim, I just recieved the sharpeners today. I installed them and I got a closer shave than when the blades were new. I hope that all of my friends order from you. Received the sharpeners and installed them at once. No question about the quality of the sharpening job- the razor is now superior to its original condition! Did not see much improvement first 3 days but now the change is startling! If I can come up with any ideas for an improvement in distribution, I will let you know. Best of luck!
